It is impossible to say exactly how many threatened species there are on Earth – but latest estimates suggest there are over 25,000.
The vast majority of these attract little or no attention and so their plight remains. And that is where our journey began.
It was in 2004 that Dr Bill Egginton first created the R.E.S.C.U.E series of children’s books and set about writing stories with lesser-known threatened animals as a theme. In 2017, and with three books published, he set about creating the successor to R.E.S.C.U.E characters: ‘Liberandum7’ or ‘L7’ as they were to become known.
In 2018 he met Martin Rees who had a background in creative industries and animation. Together they established The Liberandum Group Ltd. Pippa Bazalgette joined the Group in February 2018.
Our vision is to help secure the future of threatened animal species through global engagement, entertainment and education: living with a conscience.
Our mission is to work across international boundaries and grow in five business areas, all of which have a core objective to deliver commercial success in order to support charitable objectives.
